HERITAGE AND CULTURE OF NASHIK
Presentation on the documented work by Mr. Ramesh Padwal the editor of Maharashta Times. He has documented various places to understand the culture and heritage of the city. Nashik being a heritage and culturally rich city, students were taken for a heritage walk by Mr. Ramesh Padwal and Mr. Shrikant Gharpure to Trimbakeshwar for understanding the history, temple architecture, housing typlogy with interior, street built during Peshwai period
VISIT BY COUNCIL OF ARCHITECTURE PRESIDENT- AR. VIJAY GARG
The President of Council of Architecture visited the institute on 6th December 2018. Focussed interaction with the Staff members regarding Academics was held. President elaborated on the current developments and reforms the Council is trying to bring in the future. He emphatically expressed his views for the betterment of the fraternity. Documentation of Annual Study tour – Indore was inaugurated by him. He further guided for the publication process for the same. Ar Sanjeev Borse, Ar. Nilesh Chavan also graced the occasion along with. Director. Dr. Deore, Education Officer Dr. Nanasaheb Patil Welcomed the President
Ar. Bijoy Ramchandran visited the institute and interacted with the students of Architecture and Deign. He is an architect and urban designer based in Bangalore. His firm Hundred Hands is recognized internationally. The awards include an official selection for the Project South Exhibition and the Leone di Pietra at the Venice Biennale, 2006 and the Cityscape/Architectural Review in 2005.
Ar. Bijoy keenly went through the design works by third, fourth and final year students and enriched their knowledge with his valuable comments. During his free dialogue with the students and the faculties he shared his views on the appropriate use of technology by the students. He also shared his experience and talked about the current challenges in pursuing sustainable approach towards design solution when it comes to environment friendly design in economical way.
Late Dr. Vasant Pawar was a great educationalist and was the Ex-Sarchitnis of Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj. As a mark of respect and gratitude to his contributions towards the organization a session was organized in the institute to keep his memories alive. Chief guest invited for the session was Ex- Principal from K.T.H.M. College, Nashik. On the occasion, Dr. N.R. Bhadane Sir shared his experiences working with Late Dr. Pawar sir. He threw light on the visionary and progressive nature of Late Dr. Pawar that contributed Martha Vidya Prasarak Samaj to reach at a remarkable position in the field of education. He also urged the students to learn and adopt different dimensions of Dr. Pawar’s personality like social commitment, discipline, public education, good values, morality and organizational skills to be successful in life.
