M.V.P. Samaj’s College Of Architecture was founded in the year 1989 with the objective of imparting design education and providing an opportunity for the students from different contexts to explore, understand and address complex problems and issues of India’s changing global positioning and hence her aspirations for the infrastructure needs with the concern for energy, climate, skills, materials and economy. Over the years institute has grown into an impressive infrastructure sprawling over five acres of land and faculty comprising of academicians and practicing professionals.

The B.ARCH program consists of totally five years and can be broadly divided into three stages. In the preliminary stage, the students are oriented towards the new profession and various academic activities. Basic technical, aesthetic and graphic skills are imparted to the students that prepare them to take up various architectural projects in senior classes. The intermediate stage takes the students to next level of exploration where various architectural projects of different complexities are introduced and are required to apply the acquired basic skills and contemporary technical and services inputs. The final stage comprises of professional training with an architect in the field, introduction to various electives where students are exposed to the options of specialised subjects for their post graduation and future career. This program culminates with a thesis project where students are allowed to choose a topic of their interest and concern.

The students continuously interact with the faculty and experts in different disciplines. Regular field trips, site visits, settlement studies and study tours help them explore the world around and understand the contextual relation of history, culture, climate, and technological advancements to the contemporary and future architecture.
