Seminar conducted for Bharosa kaksha, by Nashik police

Hon. Commissioner of Police Mr. Vishwas Nangare Patil invited our college girl students for the inauguration of “Bharosha Kaksha”. This separate cell is developed to help women against any kind of harassment is initiated by Hon. CP Vishwas sir. Guardian minister for Nashik division, Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal inaugurated the cell. On the occasion, various women achievers were felicitated by the police department. The female police cell shared their experiences of incidences where the Bharosa Kaksha played a pivotal role. Our principal Dr. Baste mam, was also felicitated along with other staff members for their active role in traffic survey conducted for the police department with fourth-year students. The exposure made gild students aware of the social imbalance and the help that is available to women for their safety.


Protest rally for women safety

MVP Samaj Nashik organised a silent march in protest against brutal gang rape incidents of Hyderabad & Unnao on 7 Dec 2019. The rally started from KTHM college included around thousand students & teachers and staff from all branches. The main objective of the rally was to respect women and stand united against incidents of violence against women. Hon.  Chief Secretary Mrs. Nilimatai Pawar concluded the march at the collector’s office and handed over a letter to Collector, S. Bhuvaneshwari and raised strong support of the MVP Samaj trust to any such misconduct of future. Such institutional and social pressure helps to keep the societal balance and everyone to act responsibly. The event also created awareness about women safety and made everyone aware of women empowerment. 

 


Programme for no violence against women

A seminar on the topic of “ No Violence Against Women “ was organized by Nasik Police at Gateway Hotel, Nasik on 16th December 2019 at 9:00 a.m. Ten girl students of the college along with Principal Dr. Prajkta Baste and Associate Professor Megha Butte attended the programme.The seminar was organized with the initiative of police commissioner Vishwas Nangare-Patil for public awareness in wake of increasing incidents of violence against women.Police commissioner Vishwas Nangare-Patil and hindi actress Rani Mukharjee was the key note Speaker. Marathi actress Mukta Barve,director-actor-advocate Praveen Tarde ,in-charge collector S.Bhuvaneswari , Nangare-Patil addressed the students. Nirbhya Pathak guidebook was released on the hands of the dignitaries present. The office-bearers of prominent schools, colleges, students, entrepreneurs, distinguished institutions were present in large numbers for the seminar. The students were made aware about the women’s safety and awareness programme being implemented by the city police.


CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) Session by Dr. Hitendra Mahajan

Dr. Hitendra Mahajan explained the importance of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to the students. He discussed about the need for this technique to be learnt by the youth. He showed them a presentation in which the actual technique was explained. Then it was demonstrated using a mannequin. It was an interactive session in which students shared their experiences. They asked their queries and got satisfactory answers to them. Students also tried the technique on the mannequin and their activity was supervised and got clarified by Dr. Mahajan.


Seminar conducted for women-gender sensitisation addressal

Lecture conducted by Dr. Prajakta Baste (Principal, M.V.P.S.s College of Architecture, Nashik) on ‘Gender sensitization’.She explained how it is a basic requirement to understand gender equality and sensitive needs for each gender. Students actively participated in the discussion and raised questions that could sensitise them against gender biases.
