This was organised specifically to overcome the lacuna of live case study during pandemic, since live experience of spaces is extremely crucial at second year design stage. Architect Sachin explained his projects through various space conceptualisation ideas. He emphasised in interior space planning and relevant experiential quality in a residence. He also elaborated on colour palette and materials playing important role in personality of a space and hence important tool in space visualisation.

Architect Kshitij took the students to journey of his own residence. He explained the design and execution process in detail. He emphasised upon user needs relevant design solutions. He explained the design outcome as a response to his and his family’ lifestyle, associations and future aspirations that reflect in the house. He elaborated on material use and relevant spatial quality and highlighted the importance of thoughtful material visualisation.

Architect Mahesh explained the tangible and the intangible aspects of residential design in depth. He explained the residence design process as an overlay of multiple layers of functionality, experiential aspects and the technical details of developing a working concept.

Architect Shinoop PM explained their humble office space and residence as an outcome of contemporary vernacular thinking. He elaborated on the unique blend of modern materials and relevance to local context and climate needs. He emphasised on how climate specific design solutions can be achieved through contemporary solutions, yet rooted in the context.
Journey to Campus Design and Planning

This was organised specifically to overcome the lacuna of live case study during pandemic, since live experience of campus spaces is extremely crucial at third year design stage. Architect Vikram explained the definition of Campus. He explained the difference in campus design from an individual standalone building. He collated with few urban design concepts such as nodes, pathway network etc. The integration of landscape planning is crucial in a campus project. He emphasises on synthesis of landscape and architecture in campus projects.

This was organised specifically to overcome the lacuna of live case study during pandemic, since live experience of spaces is extremely crucial at second year design stage. Architect Pushkar explained the design process of a multi-family single residence as a response to tight site conditions and multiple family requirements. He explained the importance of sectional planning to achieve the desired outcome. He elaborated the importance of sections and plan section coordination in design thinking process.
DESIGN ASPECTS OF COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS

A session was organised by our college on commercial buildings for third year students. Architect Priya Shyam Parmeshwaram gave an insightful presentation to help students in their design process of commercial buildings. She explained how to do the site planning with respect to commercial buildings in terms of services, parking areas etc. She also explained the various zones to be created while resolving the interiors by giving examples of the various projects she has designed. The various parameters the architect should consider while doing the extension of the existing structure were also explained by Ar. Priya madam with the projects done by her team.
Long Span Structures: IDEOLOGIES IN MODERN ARCHITECTURE

An interactive lecture was conducted for the 3rd year B.Arch students by Er Achal Raje on Long Span Structures. The lecture included case studies of various structures which have used Long Span. Achal Raje started with Gol Gumbaz in Bijapur and showed structures like Govind Devji’s Satsang Hall which holds the world record for the widest hall. The students had an interactive session with him discussing the merits and demerits of prestressed and post tensioned structures. Achal Raje gave the students a practical overview of the theory studied in class.
Data Collection: IDEOLOGIES IN MODERN ARCHITECTURE
Ar. Karan Rane

An interactive lecture was conducted for the 3rd year B Arch students by Ar Karan Rane on the theories in Architecture. The lecture was held to give a different perspective to the third-year students about the development of Modern Architecture. Karan Rane is an alumni of MVP Samaj’s College of Architecture Nashik and has later done his M. Arch, with Majors in History, Theory, and Criticism from CEPT University, Ahmedabad. Currently he is in the last semester of my MPhil in interdisciplinary urban studies from CEPT University. The various theories were discussed by the students with Ar Rane. The interactive session enabled the students to understand how theories are formed and helped them to understand the synthesis of theories.

Architect Sanjay Patil explained his campus design projects – training institutes in particular. He elaborated on design approach for landscape planning and emphasised on landscape planning as a integral part of campus planning.
