B.V. Doshi Gold Medal Award

B.V.Doshi award was given to Kapil Mahadik by renowned Architect Nilkanth Chhaya, in the presence of President Er.Yogesh Kasar & Secretary Ar.Charudatta Nerkar. B.V.Doshi Gold Medal Award is an award given for Academic excellence. The award has been presented to students who stand first in Architectural Thesis, since 1996. The award has been initiated together with the Architecture & Engineer Association (A&E), Nashik. The name of the award was decided with consent from Pritzker prize winner Ar. B.V. Doshi. The medal presented has a special importance as it is designed by the noble architect, Ar. B.V.Doshi himself. The college invites imminent architects who interact with students discussing their academics and also provide them with career guidance.
Celebration of Mahatma Gandhi 150th Jayanti Poster making Competition

On 27th of February, students were shown a documentary on life of Mahatma Gandhiji. The Documentary was of about 45 minutes. It was a Biography film, detailing the life and work of Gandhiji. The documentary seeks to tell the life story of Gandhiji as a man and his incessant search for truth. After documentary students worked on making A-3 size poster on the life of Gandhiji. After The activity best three posters were selected.
Marathi rajyabhasha Din celebration

Mrs. Bhagyashree Kenge, who is the editor of the first Marathi website in the world – www.marathiworld.com for last 20 years, was invited as a chief guest. Mrs. Kenge gave a very insightful presentation wherein she made students aware of the richness and uniqueness of Marathi language and culture. She threw light on how the language got evolved from its origin in Prakrut and Sanskrit.
Shivjayanti Celebration

On 19th February 2019, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti was celebrated with great patriotism in the institute. The event aimed at creating awareness in the young minds of the students regarding the valiant Maratha warrior, Shivaji Maharaj. Students from B.Arch and B.Des enthusiastically took part in the activities organized for them on the occasion. To pay tribute to 44 CRPF jawans killed in Pulwama terror attack 2min silence was maintained. Shramadan activities were organized on occasion. The activities involved the removal of boulders and mulching base for trees.
‘Mistura’ an Art Fest

Organizing an art fest ‘ Mistura’ is an excellent effort made by N.G.O. ‘Shaurya’, that focuses on showcasing Nashik’s culture and heritage through various talents such as dance, music, painting, drama and many more art forms. Every year arrangements are made on Godavari River front wherein various artists can portray their talent to people in an open environment without any boundaries. MVPS’s college of architecture is proud to be associated with Shaurya’s Mistura event every year to make it a success. Many students from the institute work as volunteers for the N.G.O. The students engage in making of sculptures, free standing installations, paintings, origami models etc. Students also actively participate in various other talent activities and competitions during the event. Shaurya is an N.G.O. that works for under privileged sector of the society by providing learning platform as well as financial aids for various activities.
Guest lecture by Ar. Dhananjay Shinde & Ar. Amit Kulkarni on Foundation day celebration

On the occasion of 29 th foundation day of M.V.P.S.’s College of Architecture, students from B.Arch and B.Des who excelled in academics were felicitated. The chief guests present for the event were renowned architect Dhananjay Shinde from Nashik, M.V.P.Director Dr.Prashant Deore and film manager Mr.Amit Kulkarni. In his addressal, Ar. Dhananjay Shinde insisted students to develop and adopt their own design philosophy that adheres to the rich Indian culture without getting influenced by western culture. Mr.Amit Kulkarni talked about the opportunities available for the students of architecture in the field of film management and ensured his support for the same. Dr.Prashant Deore congratulated the award-winning students and inspired other students for uplifting the institution’s name at the inter-college level through such achievements. Students achieving top ranks in 1st to final year of B.Arch and B.Des fraternities were felicitated in the hands of chief guests.
Gurupournima celebration

On 27th July, Gurupournima was celebrated. Teachers or Guru play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. Students performed exclusively for teachers were a memorable one. Students from B Arch & B Des were present and exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Followed by the speech given by various students and teachers.
