B.V. Doshi Gold Medal Award

B.V.Doshi Gold Medal Award is an award given for  Academic excellence. The award has been presented  to students who stand first in Architectural Thesis, since  1996. The award has been initiated together with the  Architecture & Engineer Association (A&E), Nashik. The name of the award was decided with consent  from Pritzker prize winner Ar. B.V. Doshi. The medal  presented has a special importance as it is designed  by the noble architect, Ar. B.V.Doshi himself. The college invites imminent architects who interact  with students discussing their academics and also  provide them with career guidance.

 


‘Mistura’ an Art Fest

Organizing an art fest ‘ Mistura’ is an excellent effort made by N.G.O. ‘Shaurya’, that focuses on showcasing Nashik’s culture and heritage through various talents such as dance, music, painting, drama and many more art forms. Every year arrangements are made on Godavari River front wherein various artists can portray their talent to people in an open environment without any boundaries. MVPS’s college of architecture is proud to be associated with Shaurya’s Mistura event every year to make it a success. Many students from the institute work as volunteers for the N.G.O. The students engage in making of sculptures, free standing installations, paintings, origami models etc.  Students also actively participate in various other talent activities and competitions during the event. Shaurya is an N.G.O. that works for under privileged sector of the society by providing learning platform as well as financial aids for various activities. This year students were awarded for making Late. Shri Kusumagraj collage from acrylic, paintings and other innovative light installations using waste material. Students also participated in cultural programs. Felicitation of participants was done in the hands of Principal Dr. Prajakta Baste madam and vice principal Prof. Arpita Bhatt madam.


Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Smriti Din

Late Dr. Vasantrao Pawar was a great educationalist and was the Ex-Sarchitnis of Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj. As a mark of respect and gratitude to his contributions towards the organization, a session was organized in the institute to keep his memories alive. Teachers, Non-teachiing member principal Dr. Prajakta Baste and Vasu sir paid tribute to Pawar sir’s image. Principal Ma’am and Vasu sir share their memories with the visionary leader Dr. Vasantrao Pawar on this day.


Marathi rajyabhasha Din celebration

On the occasion of Late Shri. V.V. Shirwadkar (Kusumagraj) Janmadin, the renowned Marathi writer, ‘Marathi Rajya Bhasha Din’ was celebrated with great enthusiasm in M.V.P.S.’s College of Architecture, Nashik. Renowned artist, Ms. Pooja Nilesh conducted a calligraphy workshop for first-year B.Arch and B.Des students. Ms. Pooja delivered a speech wherein he threw light on richness and uniqueness of Marathi language. He expressed the necessity of today’s generation to be proud of the mother tongue and respect the same by practicing ‘Marathi’ in day-to-day affairs. Ms. Pooja demonstrated use of simple tools like toothbrush, ice-cream sticks, crushed paper etc. to create beautiful calligraphy explorations in Marathi. Students actively participated in the workshop. Their work was displayed in the campus.


Republic Day Celebration

On 26 January 2020, MVP college of Architecture, Nashik witnessed  72nd Republic day celebration at the college campus. The programme started with furling of national flag by Principal Dr .Prajakta Base madam.


Yuva Spandan Competition

Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj organized M.V.P. Yuva Spandan Competition. 2019-2020 was the 14th year of the competition.M.V.P. Karandak competition was initiated with the sole aim of bringing out the various skills of the students. The contestants performed in various categories based on the theme. The competition had several events starting from singing, dancing, skits etc. Students grab the first and second position in various events. The prize distribution ceremony was held at Raosaheb Thorat hall, Nashik.


Lecture by P.I. Aanchal Mudgal on occasion of Police raising day

On the occasion of a Raising Day of Maharashtra State Police which is celebrated on 2nd January our college have arranged a programme with Gangapur Police Station,Nashik. On this day P.I. Aanchal Mudgal addressed the students. He talked about the commitment of the force to provide a safe and secure environment for the citizens. He also interacted with the students and explained their duties towards society. A.S.I. Anil Bagul and constable Gulwe madam were also present for the programme. Principal  Dr.Prajakta Baste felicitated the guests. After the programme students visited the Gangapur Police Station where they had an interactive session with police station in-charge. The police weapons and other articles of interest and curiosity to the students were shown to them.


Teachers day Celebration

On 5th September, birthday of Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Teachers following his footsteps are felicitated on Teacher’s Day. Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. Students performed exclusively for teachers were a memorable one. Students from B Arch & B Des were present and exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. Followed by the speech given by Principal Dr. Prajakta Baste.


Independence Day celebration

15th Aug 2019

This year in 2019, students and teachers in MVPS College of Architecture, Nashik celebrated India’s 73rd Independence Day with great enthusiasm and passion. Students of 1st to final year from both the fraternities designed the campus with posters, paintings, monuments and installations etc. The honourable Principal, Dr.Prajakta Baste madam hoisted the Indian flag at 7.30a.m.in the campus in presence of all the students and faculties. National Anthem song was sung to salute and honour the Indian flag at the solemn occasion.


Ashadhi Ekadashi dindi celebration

11th Aug 2019

On 11 July 2019, festival of Ashadhi Ekadashi was celebrated by MVP Samaj’s Wagh Guruji bal Shikshan mandir along with our college students in premises. Young students from primary were dressed in traditional attire were Warkaris and carried the Palkhi in a procession. Fourth-year students welcomed the Palkhi and children with Aarti. Young Children performed the local dance and everyone from the institute gathered to encourage them. This was a good collaborative effort towards the preservation of our rich culture and transferring it to the next generation.

Yoga day celebration

21st June 2019

International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June to bring peace, harmony, happiness and success to every soul in the world. With an intention to promote a healthy lifestyle the institution took initiative to organize yoga sessions for the staff of around seven colleges of MVP Samaj in Nashik including College of Architecture. They also guided on the importance of yoga as a mental, physical and spiritual practice that needs to be carried every day.
