Mr. Summon Patra, a life coach and mental health advocate, has been traveling across India on his bike to promote mental health awareness and break the stigma surrounding it. His remarkable journey aims to encourage individuals to prioritize their mental well-being and seek help when needed. Recently, he conducted a session with first-year students, focusing on the importance of mental health and its impact on overall personality development.
Patra’s session also highlighted the importance of creating a supportive and inclusive environment that fosters positive mental health and well-being. Moreover, Patra’s initiative serves as a reminder that mental health is just as important as physical health, and that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. By working together, we can create a society that prioritizes mental health and well-being, and supports individuals
Learning Photoshop

Learning Photoshop for second and third year students of B. Arch was organised by institute in two sessions. The session was started with the introduction to the software. Scope and limitations were discussed. She also stated to the students the importance of learning software’s that help to enhance and compose the drawings and also to make them presentable.
Students were informed that photoshop can edit and compose raster images in multiple layers and supports masks, alpha compositing and several color models including RGB, CMYK, CIELAB, spot color, and duotone.
Students were explained how to enhance learning experience with Photoshop by use of no. of different commands; Mr. More stated that one of the most important things while using the software is to know the shortcut keys since it saves time, increases speed and efficiency, some of shortcut keys are listed below.

NPTEL’s recorded lecture on “Effective Communication” by T. Ravichandran (IIT Kanpur) was presented to students, focusing on verbal communication as a key aspect of oral communication. The lecture highlighted the importance of verbal communication in conveying thoughts, ideas, and opinions through speeches, discussions, and conversations. The effectiveness of verbal communication depends on factors like tone, clarity, volume, speed, body language, and word quality. The main objectives of verbal communication include: Conveying information and ideas, providing instructions and guidance, Persuading and influencing others, building relationships and connections, expressing emotions and feelings, sharing knowledge and expertise, Collaborating and problem-solving, Negotiating and resolving conflicts.

A recorded lecture on nonverbal communication, titled “Introduction and Importance,” from the NPTEL course “Developing Soft Skills and Personality” by Professor T. Ravichandran of IIT Kanpur, was screened for the students. Effective communication is crucial for building personal and professional relationships, and it encompasses two primary forms: verbal and nonverbal. While many individuals are adept at using verbal communication in their daily lives, nonverbal communication often occurs unintentionally and can convey significant information about people and situations. The lecture highlighted several advantages of nonverbal communication, including: Providing clarity and precision in communication, reducing time wastage by conveying messages quickly, offering a more informal and relaxed means of communication, assisting individuals with disabilities, Serving as a substitute for verbal communication in certain situations
Menstrual Health and Hygiene “Project Pavitra”

An exemplary program on Menstrual Health and Hygiene “Project Jeevan Pavitra”, was conducted on online workshop for Rotary Club Nasik Grapecity RID 3030. The program was facilitated by inaugural speech of Rtn. Ginny Khurana, the introduction of dignitaries Dr. Alka Bhavsar was done by Director Youth Services Rtn. PP Durga Sali. Rotary club of Nasik Grapecity RID 3030. The workshop was held on 14th & 15th oct 2023 which was attended by 21 plus female students of the institute. More than 125 plus girls attended this workshop from various school and college premises. Project Pavitra was introduced by Art of Living under guidance of H.H. Sri Sri Ravishankar ji that give young girls/ women platform to spread needed awareness and facilities that help to end up suffering from preventable infections. This Free workshop comprises of: Better understanding of Your body, deep knowledge on this common biological phenomenon (Menstruation). Not only this but importance of food & nutrition and simple yoga, meditation & Pranayam along with home remedies to feel more at ease during your menstrual period!Thanks to Rotary Club Nashik Grapecity RID 3030 for giving this opportunity to spread Menstrual Health and Hygiene among young girls and women of the institute.
