Blood Donation Camp

A Blood donation camp was organized by our college in collaboration with N.S.S and Youth Red Cross Unit in Association with Dr. Vasantrao Pawar Medical College, Hospital & Research Center. Chief guests were invited  for the camp were  Adv.Lakshaman Landage (Director, M.V.P.Samaj), Dr.Aniruddha Dharmadhikari (Chairman Nashik Red Cross) Dr. Sunil Aundhakar (Secretory, Nashik Red Cross) Dr.PratibhaAundhakar (Programme coordinator Nashik Red Cross). It was an effort to motivate students to come forward and donate for this noble cause. Students and the faculty members enrolled their names voluntarily to donate blood. While addressing the students at the camp, Chairman of Nashik Red Cross Dr.Aniruddha Dharmadhikari brought awareness to them about shortage of blood and why we must donate blood every year, to help the persons requiring blood.  He also explained the  health benefits for the donors. Volunteers came forward to donate blood during the camp which included teaching , non-teaching staff and students. After the completion of the blood donation, Principal, Dr. Prajakta Baste thanked and appreciated everyone present in the camp.

NSS Residential Camp at Mungsare, Nashik

3rd to 9th Jan 2023

Our college organized NSS camp this year of 7 days that took place from 3rd  January   to 9th January 2023. This camp took place at village called Mungsare,Tal District Nashik. 31 students from our NSS team from all year had participated. The camp commenced by arrival of various dignities of our MVP College Dr. Prajakta Baste, Principal of college of Architecture, Dr. D.V.Derla , Principal of college of Pharmacy, Nashik ; Shri L.F.Landge sir director MVP Samaj Nashik and many more reputed personalities. There was a colorful welcome following by lightning of lamps. It was followed by speeches of our dignities. There was a bouquet presentation to the invited guest and camp began. The day started from 5 o’clock in morning we were supposed to do exercise, run from Gram Panchayat to 5 to 6 km nearby Mungsare-Dari rd. This has made our day starts with energy. Then prayer held on Mungsare School ground at 7 ‘o clock. Latter on we have a breakfast and then so from 8’o clock as per senior people of village were called and were asked to present the work to us. The work was distributed amongst boys and girls.


N.S.S. Shramadana campaign

The intent of the programme was to create an awareness regarding the Shramadana. The NSS Unit of college organised shramadana campaign” programme under the National Service Scheme (NSS). It was attended by NSS Programme Coordinator, staff members and 18 student volunteers. Shekhar Gaikwad, president of “Aapla Paryavaran “NGO, explained about plants and biodiversity of that forest and how to take care of a plant and encouraged for Shramadana . The staff and students did Shramadana by putting soil for kamalkund, which was the part of forest.Each student took the responsibility to put soil to dedicated Kamalkund.


Marathi Bhasha Sawardhan Pandharwada

The intent of the programme was to help students to have better understanding of Marathi language.Mrs. Pooja Nilesh was invented to conduct this workshop who is an artist and calligrapher by profession. She has various achievements and awards for the same. Apart from this she has involvement in various social activities related to the same.Students were informed to bring various materials for this workshop to work hands on and learn about calligraphy in more efficient way.


N.S.S Warm Clothes Drive Programme

25th Dec 2021

The intent of the programme was to help people without any shelter to survive the extreme winters this year in Nasik.The collection period of old warm clothes in good state and money was from 18th to 21st December.The necessities that is the blankets were brought by 23rd December and after proper sorting of the collected items on 25th December the drive was conducted. The students assembled in college at 10:30am from where all the supplies were distributed amongst them and at 11:30 the distribution of warm clothes started at the Goda Ghat in Nasik to the homeless people.


Importance of Rain Water Harvesting and the responsibility of an Architect

The intent of the programme was to create an awareness regarding the Rain water Harvesting & what are the roles and responsibilities of an architect in this regard. Engineer Mr. Ulhas M. Paranjpe is currently working as a Rain Water Management Consultant. He has worked as a RWH consultant for many Projects in Mumbai, since2005.As a trustee of “JALVARDHINIPARTISHTHAN” he has conducted several Training courses for the Benefit of NSS Student, Masons, Farmers and Engineers. He has contributed towards the construction of Water Storage Structures in more than100 Villages. Paranjapae sir explained the objectives of R.W.H. & its importance. He guided the students about how to do the Quantification of Rain Water Harvesting, Procedure for Roof top (Terrace) Rainwater collection with the help of various case studies. He also showed the various structural arrangements that has to be done for R.W.H. He explained about Rain fall over open portion of plot what options are available for R.W. H. along with Operation and Maintenance Guidelines.


The role of today’s youth in social service by Prof.Ghule

24TH SEPTEMBER 2021

The intent of the programme was to create an awareness regarding the various programmes and the ways by which the students can participate in various social works through N.S.S. The NSS Unit of college organized an online session on “N.S.S. & The role of today’s youth in social service” by Prof.Ghule. Programme was conducted under the National Service Scheme (NSS). It was attended by NSS Programme Coordinator, staff, N.S.S. volunteers and other students. Prof.Ghule sir was working as N.S.S. Programme in-charge since last 15 years and currently he is working as N.S.S. District in-Charge of N.S.S. Unit. He explained the history of N.S.S., its role towards the society. He explained various projects held by N.S.S. in Nashik region and also guided the students about how they can contribute towards the society.


EXTENTION & OUTREACH PROGRAMME International Women’s Day 2021

08 March 2021

NSS Cell of the Institute (D/SF-127) celebrated “International Women’s Day” on 8th March, 2021 at Janata Vidyalaya, Korhate, Dindori, Nashik. A training workshop on self-defence by Miss. Ashwini Gaikwad was arranged in collaboration with Sahyadri Farms,Nashik. The intent of the programme was to Build confidence in physical resistance skills which allows women to feel more capable and more at peace when in potentially dangerous areas. It enables them to know the proper techniques which will help to fend off an attacker. The program started with the worship of images of Savitribai Phule and Jijau. Miss Ashwini Gaikwad conducted a workshop with demonstrations on self-defence. The students participated with great enthusiasm. All the Faculty, staffs and students of 9th and 10th standard of school have participated in the event. N.S.S girl members from college interacted with school girls after the workshop.


EXTENTION & OUTREACH PROGRAMME Tree plantation and watering the plants.

The intent of the programme was to create an awareness regarding the resources and the ways they are put to use. The NSS Unit of college organized “Tree Plantation and watering the plants” programme under the National Service Scheme (NSS). It was attended by NSS Programme Coordinator, staff members “Aapla Paryavaran “NGO Members and 32 student volunteers. Shekhar Gaikwad, precedent of “Aapla Paryavaran “NGO, explained how to plant the tree, how to take care of a plant and encouraged students to participate such activities in future. The staff and students planted more than 50 trees. Each student took the responsibility to nourish and maintain the allocated plant. The activity is expected to imbibe students with environment consciousness.
