SPPU Startup Olympiad
We are delighted to share that our institute participated in the SPPU Startup Olympiad, where over 400 teams pitched their innovative ideas. Out of these, 28 teams were shortlisted, including our institute’s entry. On March 28th and 29th, the shortlisted teams attended a one-day workshop at the Research Foundation premises within SPPU, focusing on effective pitching strategies. On March 29th, they had the opportunity to present their ideas before an esteemed panel of jury members. We are proud to announce that Team Orings, working on an innovative storage solution, has been selected as one of the six finalists to receive incubation support. They were also awarded a prize of ₹25,000, marking a significant achievement for our team.This accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and perseverance of our students. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Team Orings and wish them continued success in their entrepreneurial journey.
Kreate Kalika Steel Competition
How steel can shape a sustainable future. The theme challenges participants to integrate one or up to three Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into their designs using TMT Steel rebars. The SDGs are a UN framework aiming to tackle global challenges by 2030, including ending poverty, promoting sustainable consumption and production, combating climate change, etc.
Maharashtra Students innovation challenge
Maharashtra Students innovation challenge was conducted by Maharashtra state innovation society in 2023. MVPS’s SPCOA Bachelor of Design collaborated with KBT COE and four teams comprising of two students each team participated in the innovation challenge. Two teams were shortlisted for district level incubation of their idea. The number of teams who participated in the challenges pan Maharashtra from various institutes were 655.
The Winning Teams and their details are as follows who were mentored by Prof.Priyanka kale and Prof. Prajakta Wankar of B Des.
1. Ms.Jiya khivsara of B.Des and Mr.Ankush Pandit of KBT. Handicrafts E commerce website for artisans
2. Mr.Prashant Shinde of KBTand Mr. Vaibhav Tidke of B.Des . Application of PLC and SCADA Technology in agriculture.
These two teams were felicitated and awarded funds of 1 lakh for the next level of product development from the hands of Guardian Minister of Nashik Mr.Dada Bhuse on 26th January 2024 at Nashik Police Ground.
Nirman fellowship program
Our final year b.arch student Himani Chaodhari got selected for fellowship and learning program – “Nirman for youth working for social change. ” she is invited at Dr.Abhay and Rani bang’s organization called SEARCH (Society for Education action and research in community health) the program is in colaboration with IIT and affiliated with CEPT university. It guides students capable and willing of making social change by problem solving and their character growth. |
